My first trip to the Hull Foundation changed my life. Nobody here is judging or feeling sorry for you. It's a happy place. It's peaceful. It's freeing.

The Hull Foundation is the most fantastic place, not only for the environment but for all the help you get. Mobility, cooking, crafting, technology, they teach it all!

Mike T.

It's a great place to meet others who have vision loss and interact with staff who are all so caring and understanding. It's like a big extended family.

Marja B.

More than a learning center, it's a community. I've learned skills and done things I never thought I could do, and I've made lifelong friends along the way.

About
Hull Foundation

Our story began in the early 1960s when philanthropist Oral Hull discovered a significant gap in services for adults living with sight loss through a conversation with her blind lawyer. This revelation inspired her to take action, and she sold her beautiful 23-acre property to the foundation for just $1, establishing what would become the Hull Foundation and Learning Center for the Blind.

Since 1962, the Hull Foundation has been dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals who are blind or have sight loss. We provide social opportunities, educational resources, and adventure retreats that enable participants to experience activities they never thought possible - from white river rafting and kayaking to rock climbing and skiing.
